Jass Kent has graduated. Jass died on Sunday, August 15, 2010. She lived a rich and meaningful life to the end. Just two months before she died, Jass wrote, “I wish to have my family and friends know that I do not fear death itself. I think it is not the end, but a new beginning for me.”
Jass was a truly inspiring erson. Quiet, passionate, beautiful, searching and always, always, always looking for her truth. She was and remains such a sweet person in the lives of so, so many. We feel honored and privileged to have known Jass.
Between 1988 and 2008 Jass attended 18 adult programs at The Option Institute. She loved what she learned while attending her programs here. There are literally hundreds of people who were in programs with Jass who experienced her dignity, her sweetness and her love through the years.
With an initial donation from her life partner, Steve Evans, we are establishing the Jassendra Kent Memorial Scholarship Fund to provide financial aid to people who otherwise would not be able to attend programs at The Option Institute. We believe Jass would be very happy to know that she is being remembered and honored in this way.
